International Symposium on Sex Therapy

The International Symposium on Sex Therapy (ISST) is the official annual conference of the International Association of Psychosexual Therapists (IAPST). Now in its third year, ISST continues to be a premier international forum for advancing clinical practice, research, and education in psychosexual therapy.

Each year, the symposium brings together clinicians, researchers, educators, and mental health professionals from around the world for three days of intellectual exchange, clinical demonstration, and interdisciplinary collaboration. ISST provides a vital space to engage in meaningful dialogue about sexual health, therapeutic innovation, and the evolving landscape of psychosexual care across diverse populations.

The 2026 symposium will take place in the heart of Budapest, Hungary, a city known for its vibrant culture, historic beauty, and rich intellectual tradition. This year's theme—Developing Cultural Sensitivity in Psychosexual Therapy: Global Perspectives into Diverse Therapeutic Approaches —focuses on expanding the field’s understanding of cultural context, inclusivity, and international best practices in sex therapy.

This year's symposium is being held at the luxurious Kempinski Hotel Corvinus in Budapest.
What is the cost of registration?
The cost of registration is €850. The cost includes access to the symposium, a ticket to the welcome banquet, and lunch on days 2 and 3.
What airport should I fly into?
We recommend flying into Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport.
What hotel should I stay at?

Will there be an excursion?
Yes, an optional excursion is planned for the evening of day two of the symposium. This year's excursion will be a dinner cruise on the Danube River.
Is there an option to attend or present virtually?
Attendance and presentations are in person only.
What is your refund policy?
Due to the nature of the event and the limited number of spaces available, we are unable to offer refunds for any reason. If there is any possibility that you may need to cancel your trip, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance independently to help protect your investment.
